ABOUT    MODELS CONTACT

  • World-renowned Hungarian concert pianist Gergely Boganyi had a lifelong dream to add beauty and sound to the traditional grand piano design, that was already over 150 years old. After he had played on one of Franz List’s old pianos, the smooth, round sound fascinated him. He then teamed up with Hungarian industrial designer Peter Uvégés to disrupt the shape and sound.

  • The free-flowing form without the 3rd leg, allows the sound to travel more directly ‘like hovering in a cloud of sound”, for the artist. This outer rim design is made from a carbon fibre composite. The soundboard is too, so it handles dust, humidity and temperature variations, in a much more stable manner. than the traditional spruce wood used. The carbon fibre centre plate, replaces traditional cast iron and saves around 200kg in weight.

  • The Bogányi piano was designed for a richer, rounder sound. The carbon fibre composite soundboard, combined with a more open, free-flowing design, creates a new sound sensation. It is unique and distinctly Bogányi, for the discerning buyer or consummate pianist.
